Ragamala Painting Ragini with Messenger Pigeon
Ragamala Paintings are a series of illustrative paintings from medieval India based on Ragamala or the 'Garland of Ragas', depicting various Indian musical nodes, Ragas. They stand as a classical example of the amalgamation of art, poetry and classical music in medieval India. Poets and painters interpreted the essence of each raga and ragini into words and images.
The Ragini paintings are named after an ancient tradition of Indian miniature paintings which reflect the mood of a young maiden who seeks solace and joy in a imagined world of de-materialized landscape and rhythmic ragas.
It is a beautiful poster colour painting with all the finesse of a royal Rajput princess. Painting is full of grandeur and colour that captures the contemplative mood of the subject.
It will certainly add a traditional touch to your wall and brighten up your living spaces. This painting is painted with poster colours on cotton cloth.
