Madhubani Painting Dancing Peacock
Madhubani painting or Mithila painting is a style of Indian painting, practiced in the Mithila region of Bihar state, India and the adjoining parts of Nepal. Over the decades these striking paintings have become the most popular folk art form in the world. It is believed that the art form originated during the time of Ramayana, when King Janak commissioned artists to paint pictures on the occasion of his daughter Sita’s wedding.
A peacock in the Madhubani painting represents divine love, knowledge, prosperity, and romance. As the feather is in the form of an eye, it is believed that it saves us from the evil and negativity. People keep the feather of a peacock in their homes as a sign of good luck and prosperity.
It will certainly add a traditional touch to your wall and brighten up your living spaces. This Madhubani Art is painted on handmade and recycled paper, using acrylic & water colours.
